About BMR HomesWe successfully completed five homes and upon completion of our fifth home Hurricane Katarina hit the gulf coast. Chris is a native of New Orleans and felt compelled to return to the area and help family and friends rebuild. We helped several homeowners deal with their insurance companies and other government agencies to help rebuild there homes. We built and sold three affordable spec homes on the coast of Mississippi and completed the construction of a beach home in Long Beach Mississippi and did a Custom remodel in Kiln, Mississippi. The Kiln, MS job was the first green remodel the company did and it was very rewarding. With the declining economy and the increasing problems dealing with local government officials Michelle and Chris decided to suspend operations in Mississippi and return to Birmingham to expand and grow the business in the areas of Green Building and Remodeling, Situational Remodeling (Aging in Place and Traumatic Injury), Insurance Restoration, Energy Efficient Improvements. We are licensed in Alabama and Mississippi. We are remaining licensed in Mississippi for the Insurance Restoration segment of the business. We believe that the home building and remodeling industry is in need of honest caring professionals who want to serve the community where we live. We want our customers to become our friend and for them to understand when we do a project we do it together. We know that having a new home built or remodeled is stressful but we feel that our procedure of communicating with our customers and keeping them informed helps to reduce that stress. |
